Validation 2.O has been a process of evolution as much as of creation for me. Working with new materials is like making new friends. Earlier I worked with wood which is not pliable as the cardboard that I used in sculpting Validation 2.0. The face is made human and expressive with a collage piecing together like a puzzle. The cutouts of paper are shaped along with strokes of drawing tools making it a signature for the whole sculpture. It brings the effect of personalization, authority, and authenticity. The base is structured like a gem adding an element of auspiciousness. With its intestinal form-an an idea processor Validation, 2.O possesses a human-like appeal and capacity to ideate. The robotic structure in geometric shapes embodies intelligence. It's a technological marvel which stores thoughts and emotions experienced by an artist and has the ability to push these into consciousness as needed. Overall the cardboard sculpture presents itself as a living individual with higher mental power with the exceptional ability to comprehend artists like me. It's a critique, a judge, and an influencer. It fulfills an artist’s urge for validation by bringing them out of their self-criticism and indecisiveness. There was a distinct feeling that the piece was listening to my feelings while neutralizing every bit of self-doubt that I had. It's a reservoir for my idea-idea- generator which keeps multiplying these in my obliviousness. The sculpture was a challenge to begin but soon turned into an opportunity for me to live my story.
